by Domestic sailing enthusiasts united their efforts immediately after the Russian invasion. The motivation is simple – all for the sake of Victory. Therefore, already at the beginning of March, skippers and future captains took up the purchase and delivery of vehicles for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
As Pavel Nepsha, head of the yacht captains school Marinero, writes, during the year of war, 150 pickups were delivered and handed over by the efforts of yachtsmen:
“Volunteers and hustlers took all the trash from Europe in the first months of the war and switched to Britain. We started doing this in March last year and saw all the dynamics of the ‘market’. It looks like soon we will be bringing heaps of rust, wheels, and cow dung with funny stickers from British ‘rednecks’)”, complained the yachtsman, who in 2014 founded the charity fund (CF) “Territory of Life”.
According to the “experienced” captain and volunteer, special thanks to Ukrainians and Poles from Britain, who do not give up and continue to look for cars for us despite all the difficulties of “selection”.
It is worth noting that in addition to one and a half hundred pickups, the efforts of the CF have produced thousands of systems for delivering “gifts” to orcs by drones, and it was Ukrainian yachtsmen and concerned volunteers and ordinary citizens who produced mini-Bayraktars and stealth drones.
