In Kyiv, a very rare 1994 Mercedes-Benz W124 was spotted. The unassuming sedan is actually a very valuable E500 variant. This model is famous for being manufactured at the Porsche factory.

In 1989, Mercedes decided to create a top-charged version of the W124 model and decided to involve Porsche in its development. The German firm’s specialists modified the 5.0-liter V8 and increased its power to 326 hp. Moreover, Porsche improved the sedan’s suspension and installed Brembo brakes.
Thus, the Mercedes-Benz 500E W124 appeared. It was one of the fastest sedans of its time – with a 4-speed automatic, it accelerated to one hundred in 6.1 seconds and reached 250 km/h.

At the same time, the charged version is hard to distinguish from the standard Mercedes 124 on the outside. It has slightly widened wheel arches and wide low-profile tires. Inside, the rear seat was made two-seater.
In 1993, the model was renamed Mercedes E500. From 1990 to 1995, Porsche released 10,479 of these sedans, and there are only a few of them in Ukraine.
