From today, April 16, control in the capital will be enhanced – 8 checkpoints will begin operating at the entrances to Kyiv. This is related to the coronavirus and quarantine, so traffic jams and thorough vehicle inspections are possible.
In fact, they were there before, but the difference is that from now on, the police and the National Guard will not only be able to measure the temperature, but also conduct:
- inspection of belongings
- baggage
- vehicles
- cargo
- block traffic
In case of people detected with a temperature above 37.5 ℃, as well as symptoms of coronavirus, flu, and other illnesses, a mobile brigade will be called for COVID-19 testing. If the body temperature is above 38 ℃ – forced hospitalization.
