At the Los Angeles Auto Show, the new Hyundai Palisade was introduced. The largest Hyundai crossover will go on sale from the summer of 2019 and will compete with Toyota Highlander, Honda Pilot, and Mazda CX-9.

The Hyundai Palisade 2020 can be called the successor to the ix55 model. With a length of 4981 mm, width of 1976 mm, and a wheelbase of 2900 mm, it is noticeably larger than the Hyundai Santa Fe.

In terms of design, the car is similar to the Santa Fe: its wide radiator grille is combined with «two-level» optics. The Palisade has muscular, flared fenders and a high window line.

Inside, three rows can accommodate eight people, with the rearmost seats having adjustable backrest tilt, and the second-row seats can be supplemented with heating and ventilation.

The more expensive versions provide a virtual instrument cluster and a large 10.9-inch touchscreen, and there’s also a head-up display. Instead of a gearshift lever, buttons are installed.

All Hyundai Palisade 2020 models are equipped with adaptive cruise control with semi-autonomous driving function, preventive braking systems, lane keeping assist, driver fatigue monitoring, and blind spot monitoring.

The eight-seater Hyundai crossover is equipped with a 3.8-liter V6 engine producing 292 hp and an 8-speed automatic transmission. The drive can be front or all-wheel.
