The evolution of the LuAZ-1301 was shown in a video on the YouTube channel SergSerg from the USSR. As you might understand, the model was designed to replace the “Volynanka” LuAZ-969M. The first prototype of the model appeared back in 1984.

The final LuAZ-1301 was presented in 2002.

It was planned to be equipped with engines known from Tavria and ZAZ Sens – MeMZ engines with volumes of 1.2 L (51 hp) and 1.3 L (70 hp). The more powerful version developed 134 hp and consumed 6.8 L/100 km. Video about Unique Off-road Vehicles of the Lutsk Automobile Plant

The off-road vehicle never went into production. Only a few pre-production cars were made, which collectors are now hunting for.
