The Duesenberg SSJ can be called the Bugatti Chiron of the 1930s, as it is the most powerful and fastest mass-produced pre-war car. Its supercharged inline-eight engine with a volume of 6.9 liters had 4 valves per cylinder and produced 400 hp.
With a 3-speed manual transmission, the maximum speed reached about 240-250 km/h, and acceleration to a hundred took about 8 seconds. For a 1930s car weighing over two tons, these are excellent figures. 
Only two Duesenberg SSJs were produced for Hollywood stars Gary Cooper and Clark Gable. It is said that the actors raced against each other, pushing the roadsters to the limit right on the streets of Los Angeles. This particular car belonged to Cooper, and its mileage over 80 years is only 32,000 km.
