The Best Off-Road Bus Turned into the Perfect Wheeled Travel Home

Torsus Liberra – A Luxurious Off-Roader for Travelers

Torsus Liberra is a converted version of the Praetorian off-road bus, which has now become a luxurious house on wheels. It is perfectly suited for those who dream of traveling not just countries, but entire continents. Although it is based on the same platform as the Praetorian used in the mining industry, the Liberra is focused on comfort and exclusivity.

One of the key changes is the high ceiling, which provides 2.2 meters of headroom. For the interior finishing, Torsus collaborated with the German company Dämmler to create a cabin that meets the highest standards for off-road travel.

Interior and Technical Features

Behind the front seats, there are additional seats and a spacious dining area with leather-upholstered sofas. The kitchen is equipped with an oven, four burners, a large refrigerator, and a sink. At the rear, there are two single beds that can be converted into a double bed. A bathroom with a shower is also provided.

Motorhomes often have a cheap and sloppy interior, but the Liberra’s cabin is executed using premium materials, including wood paneling.

Technically, the Liberra remains a powerful off-roader: a Man 4×4 chassis, a 6.9-liter turbo diesel engine with 286 hp, and a 12-speed gearbox. However, such comfort comes at a high price – starting from 580,000 euros. For comparison, this money can buy a decent house, but unlike a house, the Liberra offers the freedom of movement.

This vehicle is a true challenge for those seeking not just a means of transport, but a mobile home with all the amenities. The cost is certainly high, but for lovers of extreme travel, it could be the perfect option.
