Indiana Introduced License Plates That Look Cooler Than Any Car

Indiana Launches Black License Plates

Starting August 8, Indiana residents will be able to obtain new license plates in a minimalist black-and-white design. They will be available for most non-commercial vehicles, including passenger cars, motorcycles, trucks, and campers. Demand is expected to be high, as similar designs in other states sold out quickly.

The new plates feature a black background with a white outline and reflective letters. The cost to replace an old plate is $9.50, and a new plate will cost $45. Personalized versions can also be ordered for an additional fee. They can be obtained at BMV branches, through self-service kiosks, or online.

Popularity of Black License Plates

Indiana has become one of many states offering black license plates. Similar options are already available in Kansas, Washington, Florida, Montana, Arizona, Colorado, Tennessee, and California. However, new designs are not always received positively by the public. For example, Oklahoma recently had to change its standard design due to criticism.

Black license plates have become a real trend, and their popularity is only growing. They attract attention with their simplicity and elegance, making them appealing to many drivers. They are expected to be a hit in Indiana as well, as has already happened in other regions.
