Not BMW, but another brand saved the conglomerate’s quarterly figures

BMW Group Sales in the Second Quarter of 2025

In the second quarter of 2025, BMW Group recorded a slight sales increase of 0.4%, reaching a figure of 621,300 cars. However, the main BMW brand showed a decline of 2.6%, while other brands in the group demonstrated positive dynamics:

The only brand that lost ground was Motorrad (motorcycles), where sales fell by 8%.

Electric Vehicles and Regional Performance

BMW notes significant growth in demand for electric vehicles: in the first half of the year, sales of electric models grew by 15.7%, and hybrids by 29%. Together, these categories saw an increase of 18.5%.

Regional statistics turned out to be mixed:

“In China, BMW Group sales fell by 13.7%, which, however, is better than competitors. In Europe, growth of 10.1% is observed, and in the USA — 1.4%.”

Despite difficulties in some markets, the company continues to invest in new models and electrification. It is expected that in the near future BMW will present a number of updated cars that could change the situation in favor of the brand. Particular hopes are placed on the M-model lineup, which consistently shows good results.
