Budget SUV Citroen Looks Like a Sports Hatchback

New Sport Edition of the Citroen C3 for India

The French automaker Citroen has introduced a special Sport Edition for the C3 model in the Indian market. This version received a sporty design with new decals and interior updates, but the technical specifications remained unchanged.

Externally, the car is decorated with stylish graphic elements on the bumper, hood, roof, and doors. A new Garnet Red shade has been added to the color palette. The interior features leatherette seat upholstery with the “Sport” inscription, aluminum pedals, and special floor mats.

Technical Features

Standard equipment includes a 10.2-inch multimedia screen, six airbags, and LED ambient lighting. The Teck Kit with wireless charging and a dashcam is available as an optional extra.

Citroen emphasizes the model’s “thrilling acceleration,” which goes from 0 to 100 km/h in 10 seconds.

The car is offered with two engine options: a naturally aspirated 1.2-liter (81 hp) or a turbocharged one (109 hp). The suspension remains standard, with 180 mm of ground clearance.

The new Sport Edition adds only 21,000 Indian rupees (about $244) to the base price of the C3. Depending on the trim and engine, the cost of the sport version ranges from 6.44 to 10.21 lakh rupees ($7,500-$11,800).

This version is a more stylish alternative to the standard model but does not offer any real changes in dynamics or handling. It is aimed at buyers who want to stand out on the road without significant additional costs.
