Ferrari SF90 Spider Loses Value

A brand new 2024 Ferrari SF90 Spider, which had driven only 315 miles, was sold for $125,000 less than its original price. The car was equipped with numerous options, including an expensive Assetto Fiorano package for $56,240. Considering the mileage, the car lost $416 for every mile.

The SF90, introduced six years after the LaFerrari, is equipped with a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 and three electric motors. Despite having more power and all-wheel drive, its value is plummeting, unlike the LaFerrari, which only increased in price.

Luxury Options and Losses

The original price of this SF90 Spider was $701,261 thanks to numerous additional options. Besides the Assetto Fiorano package, these included:

At the auction, the car did not meet the reserve price, but after negotiations, it was sold for $570,000. For comparison, this amount would be enough to buy a house in many countries around the world.

For those who can afford such cars, such losses are a trifle. However, for most people, $416 per mile is a serious blow to the wallet. The drop in prices for the SF90 may indicate a change in market preferences or an excessive number of similar models for sale.
