New Jeep Cherokee 2026: Hybrid, Design, and Updated Interior
Jeep is preparing the return of the Cherokee in 2026, and despite rumors, this model will definitely keep its name. The car will get a hybrid version, and its design is inspired by the future all-electric Recon 4xe model. The exterior of the new Cherokee returns to the classic geometric shapes that made the XJ Cherokee popular 40 years ago.
The front of the car resembles the Wagoneer S, but with a more practical roof slope angle. The rear, as shown in previous photos, has a black license plate panel between the lights, although on the prototype the entire trunk is white. Under the hood are traditional gasoline engines and a new hybrid option.
Interior and Technologies
Inside, the Cherokee is similar to the Wagoneer S, but with a number of differences: a flat top panel, redesigned air vents, and touch buttons for climate control. The central screen is likely to have a 12.3-inch diagonal, and a separate digital instrument cluster is located in front of the driver. Below are touch buttons for safety systems, USB-C ports, and convenient cup holders.
The official presentation of the Cherokee is expected to take place in the coming months. This model, built on the same platform as the new Dodge Charger, could become a key player in the Jeep lineup, combining classic design with modern technology. Given the weak demand for the electric versions of the Wagoneer S, betting on a hybrid looks like a logical step.
