Earlier this month, one of the Challenger R/T Scat Pack ‘Last Call’ models changed owners for $63,888 on Bring a Trailer, which is almost $6,000 less than its original price. Earlier this week, another so-called ‘special’ Last Call model was sold, also at a significant discount from the suggested retail price.
The Last Call model in question is a coveted Hellcat Jailbreak with only 986 miles (1,586 km) on the odometer. Thanks to its wide range of equipment, it features the beloved six-speed Dodge 6.2-liter supercharged V8, a six-speed manual transmission, and a limited-slip differential on the rear wheels, making it extremely powerful. The buyer also got a great deal.
A look at the car’s price tag shows that this Hellcat had an original price of $81,558, but it sold for $64,500. The car’s exterior is quite restrained: it’s painted in Pitch Black and sits on matching 20-inch wheels. There isn’t even a hint of color on the outside, as the brake calipers are also painted black. According to the spec list, the exterior coating is protected with PPF (paint protection film), so the new owner won’t have to worry about minor scratches or stone chips anymore.
The front seats are heated and cooled, upholstered in black Laguna leather with embossed Hellcat logos. Red demonic seat belts and a Harman Kardon audio system are also featured.
With 717 hp and 656 lb-ft of torque under the hood, the Jailbreak is a true beast. However, it’s not for the faint of heart, and anyone considering purchasing a Challenger with a V8 engine should understand the limits of their driving skills and not overstep them. Otherwise, they could end up in a destructive accident.
Now might be a good time to check out a Challenger, as Dodge has already discontinued production of these cars in favor of the electric and six-cylinder Charger.
