The New Ram Hemi Street Truck is a Supercharged Declaration of War on Off-Road Fans

A Powerful Pickup for the City

Recently, high-powered off-road pickups have been dominating their segment. However, in practice, many owners rarely use their full capabilities, as such models are designed primarily for off-road and muddy conditions.

An Alternative for Asphalt

In contrast, street trucks like the Ford F-150 Lobo demonstrate their effectiveness in various conditions. This is where the new Ram 1500 Sport Truck model comes in – the result of a collaboration between Mopar and Fox Factory. It is a powerful car with 650 horsepower, created for fast driving on paved roads.

Key Model Characteristics

Design and Technical Features

The model is based on the Ram 1500 Big Horn and includes aerodynamic elements, gold stripes, and a lowered clearance. Under the hood is a 5.7-liter Hemi V8 engine with a Whipple supercharger that delivers 650 horsepower. The rear axle has a 3.92 ratio, and the 305/40R22 tires provide fast acceleration.

Additional Advantages

The car is also equipped with an exhaust system that makes every press of the gas pedal special. The suspension, developed in collaboration with Ritetech, lowers the front by 3 inches and the rear by 5.5 inches. Tubular control arms, traction bars, and shock absorbers improve handling and reduce wheel vibration during hard launches.

Practicality and Interior

Despite its focus on speed, the pickup remains practical: it is capable of towing up to 11,320 pounds and has a payload capacity of up to 1,910 pounds. The cabin has five seats and is finished with additional details, including Mopar Connection logos. Body colors include black, silver, white, two shades of gray, and blue.

Price and Availability

The base price of the car is $89,995, and with additional options, such as leather and all-wheel drive, it can approach $95,000. Through sales via Mopar Direct Connection, buyers can order the model from Ram dealers and receive service maintenance.

Prospects for the Market

Street trucks, like the Ram 1500, have long been absent from modern automakers’ lineups. However, this model proves that the class remains relevant. It combines speed, expressiveness, and practicality, making it more convenient for daily use compared to off-road-oriented counterparts.

This model could be an important step in reviving interest in powerful yet practical pickups that meet the needs of urban drivers. Its technical specifications and design highlight the growing popularity of street versions that combine the thrill of fast driving with the convenience for everyday use.
