Preparing for the SEMA Show
The SEMA 2025 show is coming soon, and Hyundai is bringing something truly massive. The automaker has joined forces with the YouTube duo BigTime to present a project that combines technological innovation with off-road capabilities.
Key Features of the Concept
The Idea and Implementation
Automotive experts Jeremiah Burton and Zack Job helped Hyundai create the Ioniq 9 Off-Road Concept. This is a combination of electric luxury and off-road might.
Exterior and Functionality
The concept, which will be presented at the Future Tech Studio at SEMA, impresses with its bright yellow color, lifted suspension, unique wheels, and off-road tires. Hyundai’s largest electric off-roader looks ready for adventure.
An additional LED light bar and auxiliary lighting improve visibility at night and make the vehicle more functional for off-road travel.
Technical Specifications
The concept is based on the Ioniq 9 Calligraphy with dual motors, all-wheel drive, 422 hp, and 516 lb-ft of torque. Hyundai does not specify if any mechanical changes were made.
This concept opens up new off-road horizons for the IONIQ 9. Its aggressive suspension, off-road tires, and rugged design inspire innovation and customization – exactly what makes a successful concept for SEMA.
Collaboration with BigTime
For Burton and Job, who became known for their interesting automotive projects, this collaboration is a new step into the world of electric vehicles.
Electric vehicles have come a long way, so the opportunity to create our own version of an off-road IONIQ 9 is incredible. We were inspired by our 1977 Bud cab-over truck. This combination of new technology and retro style adds character and capability.
Promotion and Marketing
BigTime will showcase this off-roader on their social media, and fans will be able to see behind the scenes of the project’s creation. This collaboration demonstrates that Hyundai is willing to experiment with marketing its flagship electric off-roader. It’s not always champagne and leather – sometimes it’s mud and LED light bars.

This approach could become a trend for other manufacturers who are also trying to attract a younger audience through social media and influencer collaborations. Electric vehicles are gradually ceasing to be just urban transport, opening up new niches for car enthusiasts.
