Ukraine has once again shown that in the world of customs, nothing is impossible: a replica of a 1968 Dodge Charger has appeared online, assembled… on the basis of an old Volga GAZ-24. And yes — it looks exactly as you thought: as if someone really wanted to recreate Dominic Toretto’s legendary “Charger” from The Fast and the Furious.

Judging by the body shape, proportions, and characteristic elements, the project author(s) were indeed guided by that very Fast & Furious style. And it must be admitted: for a Volga acting as a muscle car — it turned out quite well. The project, however, is far from complete, but the concept is immediately clear.

The technical part is also in the spirit of our garage craftsmen. The platform is a GAZ-24.10, even registered in the documents as a “GAZ-24 coupe” with the possibility of re-registration. Under the hood is a 4.2-liter V8 from a “GAZon” truck, with disc brakes from UAZ/Gazel at the front. So the foundation is maximally “domestic,” but presented with an American accent.

The price of the issue is $5,000 for the car in its current condition. Whether this is expensive or not is a rhetorical question. For some, it’s just an unfinished Volga with a V8; for others, it’s the dream base that can be perfected into an ideal “Charger” with their own hands.
