At the 2025 Guangzhou Auto Show, BYD officially unveiled the new Han L – a flagship sedan available in two versions: all-electric and plug-in hybrid. The model features an updated exterior, modern technology, and very impressive specifications, especially for its price segment.

The electric version impresses with its figures: 701 km CLTC range, 2.7 seconds from 0 to 100 km/h, and up to 810 kW of total power in top AWD modifications. The price in China after subsidies starts from 194,800 yuan (≈$27,400) and goes up to 264,800 yuan (≈$37,200).

The exterior of the Han L has become even more aggressive: a sculpted hood with dual ribs, narrow LED headlights, hidden door handles, and even a rooftop LiDAR unit. New colors have appeared – olive and Xizi Blue, matte black wheels, and yellow brake calipers that add sportiness. At the rear – a full-width light bar and a diffuser-like bumper.
The interior features the familiar BYD minimalism with a three-spoke steering wheel, a digital instrument cluster, and the advanced God’s Eye B (DiPilot 300) driver assistance system, which supports navigation both in the city and on the highway.

Technically, the Han L offers two different approaches.
PHEV – a highly efficient (45.3%) 1.5T plus two 200 kW electric motors, 200 km of “pure” electric range, and 3.9 seconds from 0 to 100 km/h.
The electric version – RWD or AWD on BYD’s 1000-volt Super e platform with an 83.2 kWh battery and a top speed of up to 305 km/h. Range:
- RWD — 701 km
- AWD — 601 km

And now for the main point, which is important for the Ukrainian reader. In 2025, BYD for the first time in history took first place in Ukraine in electric vehicle sales, overtaking all competitors. But at the same time, the brand is still not officially represented in the country. And this means a very simple thing: the prices on the Ukrainian market from “gray” dealers differ significantly from the Chinese ones – and, unfortunately, not at all in favor of our buyer. A difference of several thousand, and sometimes tens of thousands of dollars, has become the norm, especially for the newest models.
