The Italian company Eterea from Turin has presented the Iperleggera restomod project based on the Porsche 911 Cabriolet of the 964 generation. The car is created according to the Neolog philosophy and combines a minimalist approach with the mechanical purity of a classic sports car. This is reported by Classic Driver.
Porsche 964 Speedster received a base naturally aspirated engine

The official presentation of the project took place at the Milano AutoClassica 2025 exhibition, where founder and automotive designer Andrea Di Buduo presented the car weighing only 990 kilograms.

The basis is the Porsche 911 Cabriolet 964, which is considered the optimal option among air-cooled 911 models. The heart of the Iperleggera is a reworked six-cylinder boxer air-cooled engine with updated intake and exhaust systems, producing 300 hp. The power-to-weight ratio is 3.2 kilograms per horsepower.
The Speedster based on the 964 will have a 400-horsepower 4.3-liter engine

The design of the Iperleggera is inspired by the legendary Porsche 911 RSR Turbo from 1974 and embodies aggressive motorsport aesthetics in a modern execution. Extreme weight reduction is achieved through extensive use of aluminum and carbon, as well as the removal of unnecessary components.
Starting from April 2026, a more powerful version with a 4.3-liter engine producing over 400 hp and 400 Nm of torque will become available to customers. Options with displacements from 3.6 to 3.8 liters are also offered. Each car is hand-built to individual order by five specialized Italian companies. Orders will be accepted starting in the spring of 2026.
