A new contender has appeared on the Ford Mustang restomod market. Oklahoma-based company Trick Rides has introduced the Shelby GT350TR – a radically reimagined classic car.
This project, built according to a well-known but refined formula, has a starting price of $339,000. Such a sum makes it inaccessible to most car enthusiasts.

Modern Platform and Chassis
As expected from a quality American restomod, the work begins with the foundations. Trick Rides replaces the original chassis with a new platform from Roadster Shop. An independent front suspension with Fox dampers provides modern handling and comfort.
The work on the chassis also includes more powerful front and rear anti-roll bars, a four-link rear suspension, and a 9-inch rear axle. These updates not only improve stability but also significantly change the car’s behavior on the road, minimizing body roll characteristic of the original.
Exterior Appearance
Visually, the GT350TR does not stray far from the formula that made this generation of Mustang an icon. Unlike some other projects that use carbon panels, Trick Rides manufactured the body panels for the GT350TR from steel.
The overall appearance is similar to the famous Eleanor models, but slightly more restrained. The front end received new radiator grilles, headlights, and a hood. Three-piece Forgeline wheels and new side-exit exhaust pipes have been added. The car looks aggressive but without excessive details.
Modern Power
Under the hood is a turbocharged Coyote 5.0-liter V8 engine producing 700 hp, paired with a 6-speed Tremec T-56 manual transmission. A special exhaust system with Magnaflow mufflers is also installed.
Braking System
The braking system must match the performance. The GT350TR is equipped with Baer brakes with six-piston calipers at the front and four-piston calipers at the rear.
The appearance of the Shelby GT350TR from Trick Rides demonstrates that the niche of high-budget restomods remains alive and competitive. Despite the very high price, there will be collectors and enthusiasts willing to invest in this level of customization and performance. This project combines classic aesthetics with modern technology, offering the driver sensations that are hard to find in mass-produced cars, even premium ones. The choice between a turbocharged and a naturally aspirated engine also broadens the audience, allowing one to choose the car’s character according to personal preferences.
