The Most Powerful Production Mustang from Ford Develops 815 Horsepower, but Hennessey Offers Even More

Hennessey Celebrates 35 Years with a Limited Series of Powerful Mustangs

Hennessey Performance, known for its motto “Making Fast Cars Faster,” is celebrating its 35th anniversary with a special version of the Ford Mustang. This anniversary model is named “Super Venom” and is limited to just 35 units.

The main focus of the modification is the powertrain. The 5.0-liter V8 engine received a large supercharger, boosting its power to 850 horsepower and its torque to 881 Nm. This gives the car a power advantage even compared to the top-of-the-line Mustang GTD.

Armed with Carbon and Preserving the Warranty

In addition to work on the engine, the car received a number of carbon fiber elements: a new front splitter, side skirts, and decorative fender flares. A functional hood for better cooling and a large fixed rear wing also appeared. All 35 units feature special badges on the fenders and hood graphics honoring the company’s founding year.

Interestingly, despite such serious modifications, the car retains the original factory warranty from Ford. Additionally, Hennessey provides its own limited warranty for three years or 36,000 miles.

Performance and Price

According to the tuner, the Super Venom is capable of accelerating to 60 mph (96 km/h) in just 3.2 seconds and covering a quarter-mile in 10.9 seconds. However, such performance comes at a price. Although the exact cost of the anniversary series has not yet been announced, the base Super Venom version based on the Mustang GT starts at $149,950, which is significantly higher than other powerful Mustang modifications.

The 35-unit production cap marks the company’s 35th anniversary.

This project clearly demonstrates Hennessey’s philosophy—taking already powerful production cars and elevating their performance to a whole new level. The limited production run makes these cars not only tools for fast driving but also potential collectibles symbolizing the anniversary of the famous tuning atelier. The preservation of the factory warranty is an important step that can convince even cautious buyers that such extensive modifications have been performed with quality and do not threaten the car’s future reliability.
