After This Review, You Won’t Want to Go Back to the Modern M2

Alpha-N Presents Carbon Upgrades for the BMW M2 Competition

The German tuning atelier Alpha-N, which already offered parts for the new M2 model, has now turned its attention to the previous generation — the BMW F87 M2 Competition. The new series of accessories, named Alpha-N Corse, includes a range of carbon fiber parts developed with a focus on improving track performance, yet suitable for everyday driving as well.

Among the key upgrades:

Improvements for Handling and Availability

For those who want to emphasize the car’s aggressive appearance with real on-track improvements, Alpha-N also offers Ohlins TTX sport suspensions with independent rebound and compression adjustment.

The parts are available not only in Germany, where the company is based, but also in North and South America through the distributor IND Distribution. This opens up opportunities for M2 Competition owners in the USA, Canada, and other countries in the region.

The Cost of High-Tech Materials

Upgrades from Alpha-N are a serious investment. The carbon hood costs about 3,950 euros, the smaller wing — 3,790 euros, a pair of front deflectors — 3,199 euros. The carbon grille inserts are priced at 995 euros, the front splitter — 1,599 euros, and the Ohlins suspension kit — 3,945 euros. These prices clearly demonstrate that high-quality tuning using aerospace-grade materials remains a segment for enthusiasts willing to pay for exclusivity and performance.

This project highlights the lasting interest in the first-generation M2, which many consider more successful in terms of design compared to the latest model. Alpha-N’s offering allows owners not only to refresh the exterior but also to seriously enhance the car’s technical potential, effectively creating its unique, race-ready version. The demand for such kits indicates the viability of the high-quality tuning market for even non-latest models, where the car’s character and the dedication of its fans are more important than the release date.
