by German company Bovensiepen has presented its second car following the debut of the Zagato coupe based on the BMW M4. The new model is called Bovensiepen 05 GT and is built on the BMW 5 Series Touring. The powerful station wagon is equipped with a hybrid powertrain from the BMW M5 and develops 790 hp.
The Bovensiepen brand was founded by the family that was at the origins of Alpina before its acquisition by BMW in 2022. The new station wagon effectively became the spiritual successor to the Alpina B5 model.
Bovensiepen 05 GT boasts exclusive design and refined chassis
The car’s exterior was worked on by renowned designer Frank Stephenson. The station wagon differs from the standard BMW 5 Series Touring with new bumpers, an original radiator grille featuring the Bovensiepen logo, and aerodynamic body elements.
The model also received new side skirts, a rear spoiler, a redesigned rear bumper, and four exhaust tailpipes.
The car is equipped with 21-inch forged wheels with 20 spokes and specially developed Pirelli tires.
The engineers also upgraded the suspension. The design uses new Eibach springs, modified supports, and an additional body brace to increase rigidity.
Bovensiepen 05 GT station wagon accelerates to 100 km/h in under 3.6 seconds
Under the hood is a plug-in hybrid powertrain from the BMW M5. It combines a twin-turbocharged 4.4-liter V8 gasoline engine with an electric motor.
While the standard BMW M5 produces 718 hp and 1000 Nm of torque, Bovensiepen has increased the output to 790 hp and 1100 Nm. This result was achieved thanks to a new intake, a titanium Akrapovič exhaust system, and electronic recalibration.
The station wagon, weighing 2555 kg, accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in under 3.6 seconds. The top speed is 305 km/h.
The interior is upholstered in Lavalina leather sourced from farms in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, and Italy. Buyers will be offered a wide selection of colors and individual interior customization options.
Deliveries of the Bovensiepen 05 GT will start in the fourth quarter of 2026. The starting price of the model is €198,900.
