by Rolls-Royce has created an exclusive Phantom Regatta in a single copy. The special version was built on the basis of the long-wheelbase Phantom Extended, and its world premiere will take place at the Goodwood Festival of Speed. This is reported by Carscoops.
Rolls-Royce Phantom Regatta was created inspired by racing yachts
The new model pays tribute to the racing yachts of the south coast of England. The car has a length of 5982 mm, making it longer than a Cadillac Escalade ESV.
The body received a two-tone finish in Regatta Blue and English White. According to the designers’ idea, the boundary between the colors resembles a yacht’s waterline. The image is complemented by polished 22-inch wheels styled after steel winches used on sports sailboats, as well as numerous chrome elements.
The interior is also made in a nautical theme. The front part is trimmed with Navy Blue leather with contrasting Grace White stitching, a two-tone steering wheel, and white frames for the air vents. A hand-crafted Watercolour art composition inspired by seascapes is placed on the dashboard. To create it, Rolls-Royce developed special paints and a new color mixing technique.
The unique Phantom Regatta features a yacht deck-style finish
The rear part of the cabin is finished in a reverse color scheme: white Grace White seats combined with blue decorative elements. Two separate seats are divided by a central console with a herringbone wood trim.
Fold-out tables for rear passengers are styled like a yacht deck. Craftsmen spent about 120 hours making each of them from 16 planks of Royal Walnut wood, complemented by Black Bolivar inlays.
The car also received illuminated door panels and an exclusive Starlight Headliner ceiling with 1,307 fiber optic elements simulating tidal currents around the Isle of Wight.
The Phantom Regatta is expected to be equipped with a 6.75-liter twin-turbocharged V12 petrol engine producing 563 hp and 900 Nm of torque. The long-wheelbase sedan accelerates from 0 to 96 km/h in 5.2 seconds, and its top speed is 250 km/h.
