Brabus has released a 1430-hp catamaran that gives the feeling of flying over the water

A new level of luxury on the water: Brabus Ultima 55

Brabus, known for its tuning projects, never ceases to amaze. Together with Sunreef Yachts, they have unveiled a new boat model – the Brabus Ultima 55. This is a luxury catamaran measuring 55.8 feet (17 meters) in length, designed for those who appreciate style and performance.

Exterior and first impressions

The boat is available in Graphite Black or Phantom Gray with carbon fiber accents. The lightweight material is used on the front and rear wings, pylons, ventilation grilles, as well as for the roof luggage rack and light housings. Brabus logos are illuminated, and the aft deck features large sun loungers that can be transformed into seats. The package includes a retractable carbon fiber table, an electric grill, and a bar counter. The upholstery is made of custom fabric in Graphite, Red, or Pearl colors.

Interior: elegance and technology

Inside, luxury prevails: sofas and armchairs are upholstered in Brabus Moonstone Masterpiece leather with triangular stitching. Ceilings are finished with Alcantara, wood veneer, and exposed carbon fiber. The floor features aluminum inserts and illuminated Brabus logos. The boat is equipped with adjustable tables, a fully equipped kitchen with an induction cooktop, electric oven, sink, refrigerators, ice makers, and storage systems. A Bowers & Wilkins audio system and a 43-inch TV that rises from the countertop complete the picture.

Layout options and comfort

The Ultima 55 is offered in two configurations. The standard one has one master cabin, one VIP cabin, and one crew cabin – accommodating four guests plus one crew member. The alternative layout features three smaller guest cabins and one crew cabin, increasing capacity to six people. The photos show raised beds with wooden steps, and one of the cabins includes a small sofa, while another has a sink and bathroom.

Control and performance

The navigation center is equipped with a widescreen system that integrates all data: navigation, vessel monitoring, and onboard functions. The interface features Brabus’s signature design for intuitive control.

The powerplant consists of two six-cylinder engines with 715 hp (533 kW / 725 PS) each. The boat can reach speeds of over 40 knots (46 mph or 74 km/h). The fuel tank holds 1500 liters (396 gallons), and the water tank holds 330 liters (87 gallons), allowing for long journeys.

The manufacturers note that the model is equipped with an advanced hydrofoil system. It generates lift beneath the water surface, raising the hulls higher. This reduces drag and increases comfort, as well as providing a feeling of flying over the water.

This project demonstrates how Brabus continues to expand its presence in the world of luxury marine transportation. The collaboration with Sunreef Yachts, a leader in catamaran construction, allows high technology to be combined with unique design. The Ultima 55 is not just another boat, but a statement that Brabus style is now available on the waves. Given the powerful engines and hydrofoils, the model is aimed at those seeking both comfort and dynamics. This is another step toward creating a full line of luxury watercraft under the Brabus brand, which will undoubtedly attract the attention of wealthy buyers worldwide.
