The legendary Toyota Land Cruiser 70 Series has always been perceived as a simple and reliable off-road workhorse. However, following the example of such icons as the Mercedes G-Class and Land Rover Defender, it is increasingly attracting the attention of tuners. One such craftsman is the studio Black Box Custom 4×4, which has prepared a luxurious version of this SUV in its Signature Series.
Exterior tuning from Black Box 4×4
The basis is a brand new post-facelift Toyota Land Cruiser LC76 2026 in a five-door wagon body. The body is painted in a matte soft blue shade with a contrasting white roof. An aggressive look is provided by body-colored steel bumpers and wheel arch flares, a black bull bar, a snorkel, extendable trailer mirrors and a homemade roof rack with additional LED lights.
Black Box also installed electric side steps that make getting in and out easier, because the SUV has become significantly higher after serious chassis work. These works include beadlock wheels shod with aggressive mud tires, and a raised suspension with reinforced shock absorbers.
Brabus-style interior
The transformation continues inside: the tuner chose a white theme worthy of Brabus. White leather covers all surfaces — from the dashboard and center console to door cards and seats, and a white headliner completes the look. In addition, the SUV received an aftermarket Pioneer multimedia system and a block of additional switches to control all installed equipment.
Technical part unchanged
Despite numerous changes to the exterior and interior, Black Box did not touch the powertrain. Under the hood remains the factory 2.8-liter four-cylinder turbodiesel producing 201 hp (150 kW / 204 hp) and 500 Nm of torque. Drive is sent to all four wheels via a six-speed automatic transmission and a standard 4WD system.
The Costa Rica workshop has not announced a price for this particular LC76, which is already listed as reserved on the company’s website. Those still interested can look at other 70 Series-based projects from the studio’s current lineup.
This tuning is a striking example of how the modern market is increasingly turning to classic models, giving them a new level of comfort and style. While retaining the factory technical components, Black Box shows that luxury and off-road capability do not necessarily contradict each other. Such projects increase interest in the Land Cruiser 70 Series, which has remained a symbol of reliability for decades, and at the same time expand the boundaries of the tuning industry.
