Updated 2027 Nissan Z: Prices, Design, and New Technologies
This summer, Nissan dealerships will begin accepting orders for the updated 2027 Nissan Z. The starting price for the sport coupe will be $44,480, which is $1,510 more compared to the previous model, which started at $42,970.
Exterior Updates and New Colors
The price increase is accompanied by a number of updates, including a light facelift. The most noticeable change is the new front bumper and redesigned radiator grille. Additionally, the front Nissan logo has given way to a new “Z” emblem, and the Shinkai Green Pearl Metallic shade has been added to the color palette. It features a reinforced clutch and a new shift lever ratio, which, according to the manufacturer, provides “significantly shorter shift throws, rewarding drivers with faster and crisper gear changes.”
Drivers will also feel a more aggressive throttle response, and the Active Sound Enhancement and Active Noise Cancellation systems have been recalibrated to work with the manual transmission.
Nismo Technical Enhancements
In addition to the new transmission, the Nismo version has received a lighter front brake system borrowed from the GT-R. It uses two-piece cast iron and aluminum rotors, saving 19 pounds (8.6 kg) in weight and improving cooling. The suspension and steering have also been recalibrated for better performance and control.
Engine and Performance
Under the hood of all versions remains the familiar 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6. For standard modifications, it produces 400 hp (298 kW / 406 PS) and 350 lb-ft (474 Nm) of torque. In the Nismo version, power increases to 420 hp (313 kW / 426 PS) and 384 lb-ft (520 Nm).
