Chinese company BYD has developed its latest 1000-volt platform called Super E for electric vehicles. Cars based on this architecture will have the ability to quickly charge at 1 MW stations, allowing them to rapidly replenish their range, similar to the process of refueling a gasoline car.
Company representatives reported that for every second of charging, two kilometers of range will be added to the electric car, and in 5 minutes of charging, a range of up to 400 km can be ensured. This new platform will become the foundation for all future electric vehicle models of BYD. The first cars built on the Super E platform will be the Han L and Tang L.
