400 km in 5 Minutes: BYD Will Recordingly Increase the Charging Speed of Electric Vehicles

The BYD Corporation from China has created an updated 1000-volt Super E base for electric vehicles. Cars that will use this technological platform will be able to charge at stations with a capacity of 1 megawatt. Replenishing their energy reserves will be as quick as refueling a gasoline car.

Company representatives stated that for every second of charging, the electric car will gain two kilometers of range, and 5 minutes of charging will provide a driving range of up to 400 kilometers. This advanced platform will become the foundation for all future electric vehicle models from BYD. The first cars to be built on the Super E base will be the Han L and Tang L.
