In Bulgaria, a very interesting find was discovered – brand new BMW 5 Series E34 sedans and a wagon. The cars stood in an abandoned warehouse in the town of Blagoevgrad for more than a quarter of a century, reports Center for FIGHTING Rust.
To be more precise, 10 BMW 520i and 525i sedans and one wagon were found, all with the necessary documents. All the cars are well-preserved, and some even have seats still in cellophane covers.
No one quite knows how the BMW 5 cars ended up in the warehouse.
One version is that they were purchased in the 90s for servicing foreign delegations, and another is that they were intended for the first Bulgarian car rental service.
Naturally, there are immediately those in Bulgaria who want to buy a BMW 5 E34 with no mileage, and the approximate price is already known – 15,000 euros. However, it’s not that simple.
The fact is, the cars do not meet modern eco-standards, meaning they cannot be registered immediately. It is necessary to export the cars to Germany, get new documents for them, and then register them in Bulgaria.
