Amazon Autos now allows dealers from Los Angeles to list used and certified cars for sale. In the future, this service will become available in other US cities as well. Buyers are offered convenient terms: the possibility to return the car within three days or 300 miles of driving, as well as a minimum warranty of 30 days or 1000 miles.
The company emphasizes transaction transparency – all listings contain detailed information about the car’s condition, including its service history. Furthermore, buyers can schedule a test drive through partner dealerships.
“This expansion is happening due to significant interest from our partner dealers. Adding used and certified cars allows us to meet customer demand for a wider selection of vehicles,” stated the head of Amazon Autos, Fan Jin.
Prospects for Online Car Sales
Amazon started selling new cars back in 2024 and now collaborates with dealers in over 130 cities. The company considers this initiative beneficial for all parties: dealers get access to millions of Amazon customers, and buyers get a convenient tool for selecting and purchasing a car.
Online car sales are becoming increasingly popular; however, experts recommend that buyers thoroughly check the technical condition of the vehicle, even if it comes with warranty obligations. This is especially true for used models, where the risk of hidden defects is always higher.
