We once wrote to you about the stylish ZAZ-968 roadster from Belarus. Now, an interesting project has even amazed Americans from Jalopnik.
Let’s remember that this is not exactly a Zaporozhets, since all the car’s internals are from a first-generation Porsche Boxster S. The mid-engined roadster is equipped with a 3.2-liter boxer engine with 250 hp. The unusual ZAZ was built in the Shif Custom workshop, which primarily specializes in motorcycle customization.
As the creators explained, they just wanted to make a cool Zaporozhets. The roadster acquired traditional Zaporozhets features like round headlights or “ears.” Meanwhile, the windshield, mirrors, soft top, and the entire interior remained from Porsche.
