Aston Martin Intensifies Emotions with the Open DB12 Volante

Aston Martin Prepares a More Powerful Version of the DB12 Volante

Aston Martin is actively testing an updated version of its DB12 Volante convertible at the Nürburgring. The new model has received a number of changes, among which:

These same updates have already been spotted on the coupe version of the DB12. The base DB12 Volante, which debuted in 2023, is equipped with a 4.0-liter V8 from AMG producing 671 hp (680 PS) and 800 Nm of torque. It accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.6 seconds with a top speed of 325 km/h.

Updated Design and Technical Changes

The new version has received a more aggressive front spoiler with three ventilation holes on each side and an “egg crate” style radiator grille. The suspension has become stiffer, and the exhaust pipes are now stacked one above the other, as in the DBS model.

Although this version will not become a full-fledged track car, it will receive numerous refinements to meet the demands of the most discerning enthusiasts.

It is expected that Aston Martin may increase the engine power to 717 hp (727 PS), as was done with the DBX S. Regarding the name of the new version, probable options are DB12 S or DB12 AMR, as the company has previously used the AMR designation for its sporty models.

The presentation of the updated DB12 version is expected by the end of this year, with the coupe debuting first. Perhaps Aston Martin will choose the future Goodwood Festival of Speed for the premiere. These changes underscore the brand’s strategy of expanding its range of high-performance models, which includes not only sports cars but also powerful crossovers. Particular attention is drawn to the preservation of the balance between comfort and dynamic characteristics even in more “charged” versions.
