Aston Martin Celebrates the 60th Anniversary of the Volante Model in Grand Style

Special Aston Martin Versions for the Anniversary

Aston Martin has released limited versions of the DB12 and Vanquish, dedicated to the 60th anniversary of the Volante line. These models are created by the Q by Aston Martin division and feature unique design and exclusive details.

History and Design Features

The Volante name first appeared in 1965 on the Aston Martin Short Chassis Volante model. Since then, it has been used on many of the brand’s convertibles, including the DB6, V8 Vantage, DB7, DB9, DB11, DBS, Virage, and Vanquish.

The special versions feature a two-door body and are painted in Q Pentland Green, while the hood received the Q Westminster Green shade. The radiator grille and side louvres are finished in anodized bronze, as are the exclusive 21-inch alloy wheels. The front wings feature a Q by Aston Martin badge.

Interior and Technical Specifications

The car interiors are trimmed with three types of leather: Centenary Saddle Tan, Ivory, and Woven. Additionally, dark walnut inlays, bronze details, and seat embroidery indicating the anniversary version are used. The DB12 offers a 2+2 configuration, while the Vanquish is a two-seater with additional luggage space.

Under the hood, the DB12 features a bi-turbo 4.0-liter V8 with 671 hp, while the Vanquish is equipped with a 5.2-liter V12 producing 824 hp. The latter is the fastest and most powerful series-production Aston Martin convertible to date.

Performance and Availability

The Vanquish Volante accelerates from 0 to 60 mph in 3.4 seconds and reaches a top speed of 214 mph. The DB12 Volante shows a time of 3.6 seconds to 60 mph and a speed of 202 mph. The price for the limited versions has not been announced yet, but production will begin in the fourth quarter of 2025.

These models not only demonstrate the brand’s technological achievements but also highlight its ability to combine tradition with modern trends. The limited series is likely to become a collector’s item, given the historical significance of Volante for Aston Martin and the automotive industry as a whole.
