Prices for AUDI E7X officially announced in China
Finally, the prices for the fully electric AUDI E7X in China have been revealed. As expected, the car turned out to be extremely affordable, considering its size and richness in modern technology. One can only regret that the automaker cannot produce and sell something similar in Western markets.
Base version and its specifications
The base model of the E7X, known as Pioneer, is priced at 289,900 yuan (approximately $42,600). It is equipped with a battery pack with a capacity of 100 kWh and uses a 900-volt electrical architecture. The range on the CLTC cycle is 705 km (438 miles). Acceleration to 100 km/h takes 5.82 seconds. The drive is rear-wheel drive, and the electric motor power reaches 402 hp (300 kW) with a torque of 500 Nm.
Pioneer Pro version and extended range
Next in the lineup is the Pioneer Pro version, which offers more equipment, including air suspension. Its price starts from 319,800 yuan ($47,000). The acceleration time to 100 km/h remains the same at 5.82 seconds, but the range is slightly smaller at 691 km (429 miles).
Also confirmed is the release of a long-range version of the rear-wheel drive model. It costs from 349,800 yuan ($51,400) and is equipped with a larger battery of 109 kWh. This increases the range to 751 km (476 miles), although due to the greater weight of the battery, the acceleration time to 100 km/h increases to 6.25 seconds.
Powerful all-wheel drive versions
Two all-wheel drive versions of the AUDI E7X will be available. The first uses a 100 kWh battery and delivers a total power of 670 hp, which allows reducing acceleration to 100 km/h to 3.9 seconds. The price of this model is from 349,800 yuan ($51,400), and the range is 636 km (395 miles). The flagship version has the same 670 hp but with a 109 kWh battery and a range of 660 km (410 miles). Its price starts from 379,800 yuan ($55,800).
Comparison with the US market
For context: the new 2026 Audi Q3 in the USA costs from $43,700 and is equipped with a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine producing 255 hp and 370 Nm of torque. The largest electric SUV that Audi sells in the USA is the Q6 e-tron, the price of which starts from $64,500, but it is significantly smaller than the E7X.
Thus, the Chinese market receives a large, technologically advanced, and powerful electric vehicle at a price significantly lower than its counterparts in the West. This underscores AUDI’s strategy aimed at gaining market share in China, where competition among electric vehicles is extremely high. It is worth noting that even the most expensive version of the E7X costs less than the starting price of the smaller Q6 e-tron in the USA, making the Chinese offer extremely attractive in terms of price-to-size ratio. This also demonstrates how market conditions and pricing for electric vehicles differ across different regions of the world.
