AirConsole gaming platform is now available in Audi cars
Modern cars are increasingly resembling mobile technology centers rather than just means of transportation. If previously drivers were limited to adjusting the radio, today’s interiors are filled with screens and entertainment systems. Audi continues this trend by integrating the AirConsole gaming platform into its models with Android-based infotainment.
The system allows playing games such as Uno Car Party!, Pictionary, and Who Wants to Be A Millionaire? on the central screen or an additional display for the passenger. Interestingly, a smartphone can be used to control the game – simply by scanning a QR code. If the car is equipped with a passenger screen, playing is possible even while the vehicle is in motion thanks to a special mode that hides the image from the driver.

The desktop version of AirConsole offers over 140 games, including the popular simulator Overcooked. It is not yet known how many of them will appear in cars, but expanding the library is only a matter of time.
The integration of gaming platforms into cars is part of a larger trend towards “smart” interiors. However, questions remain regarding the longevity of such technologies and their maintenance costs. At the same time, for passengers, especially during long trips, such entertainment can be a real find.
