Ford Customer Received a Higher-Trim Bronco at an Incorrect Price
One of the 2024 Ford Bronco buyers faced an unexpected situation after purchasing the vehicle. He bought the SUV from a dealer in North Carolina, but two weeks later received a message about an error: he was sold a higher-trim model at the price of the base version. The dealer offered either to pay an additional $2,500 or return the car and receive the “correct” one.
As the buyer shared on Reddit, he test-drove exactly this Bronco and saw no reason to agree to a less equipped version. The documents listed a different VIN code, which was the cause of the confusion. After discussions, the dealer decided to acknowledge the mistake and finalize the deal under the initial terms.
“They contacted me again and said they needed a few days to update the documents. There was no more mention of an additional payment, so I hope they will just absorb the losses,” the customer said.
Why This Is Important
This story shows how important it is to carefully review documents before signing a contract. Although in this case everything ended in the buyer’s favor, similar situations can lead to lengthy disputes. Dealerships sometimes make mistakes, but customers have the right to protect their interests, especially when it comes to significant sums of money.
