The Bavarians have officially introduced a new accessory for all BMW models — an additional rear cargo box that not only looks like part of the car but also adds 340 liters of volume for your belongings. Yes, now you can pack not only on the roof but literally on the rear of your beloved “Beemer.”

Unlike traditional roof-mounted cargo boxes, this novelty attaches to the rear of the car, in the area of the license plate and taillights. Importantly, it doesn’t block them, as it comes with duplicate lighting and its own space for the license plate. Everything is official, complying with safety requirements.

The cargo box can hold up to 45 kg of load, has its own lock, and even wheels to pull it like a suitcase at the airport. Additionally, it is compatible with the bike rack tilt function, so even with the box installed, access to the main trunk is preserved.

Such a trunk will be especially useful for owners of models with limited cargo space. For example, the BMW 1 Series has only 380 liters — with the additional box, this figure almost doubles.
So now, if the roof rack is already packed with skis, dog food, and an inflatable unicorn — you can safely attach another one at the rear.
