Bentley is preparing a new powerful version of the Continental GT
Bentley, despite its luxury brand status, continues to develop its sporting ambitions. Photographers recently caught a prototype that could become the Continental GT Speed RS or Supersports – an even more powerful version of the model.
The prototype, finished in matte black, differs from the standard Speed version with additional aerodynamic elements, including channels and a huge rear spoiler. A new exhaust system with four pipes instead of the traditional oval one is also visible.
Technical Expectations
Although the external changes are minor, the updates are performance-oriented. This suggests that the new model will be even more aggressive than the standard Speed version.
We will learn more about the prototype in the coming months, but the standard version is equipped with a twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V8 engine producing 591 hp and a hybrid system that together delivers 771 hp.
For comparison, the previous version with a W12 engine developed 700 hp and accelerated to 100 km/h in 3.4 seconds. The new model will likely surpass these figures, demonstrating even greater dynamics and speed.
Official details are expected to be revealed soon, but it is already clear that Bentley is preparing something special for fans of powerful cars. This could be the final stage of the model’s development before transitioning to a new platform or electrification of the lineup.
