by A curious incident occurred on the eve of the CES electronics show opening in Las Vegas. The Tesla Model S electric car hit the latest Russian robot Promobot, reports nv.ua. 
The robot was moving along the shoulder, and the Tesla electric car hit it. It later turned out that the driver decided to activate autopilot on an empty section of the road, but the Tesla’s cameras, lidar, and sensors did not recognize the robot in the dark. The driver of the electric car, of course, apologized for the incident, but later it turned out that the robot could not be restored and would not be shown at CES.
It was the only unit in the USA, brought from Philadelphia. 
Promobot is a development by a company from Perm that deals with concierge, guide, and administrator robots. In 2017, Vladimir Putin even shook its hand.
