Americans often forget not only personal belongings and hygiene products in their cars but even weapons! TopGir found out from one of the State Border Service employees (whose surname we will not disclose for ethical reasons) what the most unusual things were found in the “bitki” during 2021.

According to our interlocutor, with whom we managed to talk after a recent rifle was found in the trunk of a wrecked Ford, this is far from the only similar case. According to customs, from cars that arrived in Ukraine after being purchased at American auctions, 25 weapons and 2415 pieces of ammunition were found this year alone.
As for the most unusual items found in cars from American auctions, according to our interlocutor, they are:
- A sword (not a ball, but a sword!)
- A cage with a parrot (or rather, what was left of it)
- A priest’s robe (or mantle)
- A stuffed dog (or wolf)
- A box of adult toys
- A trunk compartment filled with milk
- Used diapers stuffing all (!) compartments in the door panels
As for the most common things, according to the customs officer, cars from the States often reach Ukrainian buyers with small personal items like student IDs, small money, family photos, crosses, keychains, wallets, credit cards, and more. But the most common is trash and crumbs, of course.
