Wandering Firework Blows Up Toyota 4Runner Car

Unexpected Explosion Under the Car

In Hawaii, an illegal firework exploded under a Toyota 4Runner, causing significant repercussions. The incident was fully captured on camera, demonstrating the danger of such actions. Police detained a 24-year-old man who has been charged with the unintentional creation of a threat to others.

Event Details

Although the US Independence Day passed months ago, this case involving the use of a firework attracted attention due to its chaotic nature. The recording, made on October 16th, shows a man squatting in front of a house, lighting a firework, placing it in a tube, and then walking away. However, the firework unexpectedly changes trajectory, makes several loops, hits the ground, and ends up under the car.

Attempt to Intervene and Consequences

The man, in a panic, tries to grab the firework, but it explodes before he can do so. After the explosion, he inspects the damage, utters a curse, and returns to the house. Kauai police received a call around 11:30 AM local time and began an investigation.

Law Enforcement Response

The detainee, Bronz Robson, was arrested on charges of second-degree reckless endangerment, which is a misdemeanor. He was jailed with the possibility of posting a $1,000 bail. No one was injured, but the extent of the damage to the car remains unclear. Assistant Police Chief Darren Rose stated:

Such irresponsible behavior endangers lives and property. Illegal fireworks have no place in our communities.

This case serves as a reminder of the importance of following safety rules when using pyrotechnics, especially outside of holidays. Although the event did not result in injuries, it could have had more serious consequences if the firework had exploded closer to people or caused a fire. Police continue to emphasize the need to avoid illegal explosive devices to prevent similar situations in the future.
