The recording, made on October 16th, shows a man squatting in front of a house, lighting a firework, placing it in a tube, and then walking away. However, the firework unexpectedly changes trajectory, makes several loops, hits the ground, and ends up under the car.

The man, in a panic, tries to grab the firework, but it explodes before he can do so. After the explosion, he inspects the damage, utters a curse, and returns to the house. Kauai police received a call around 11:30 AM local time and began an investigation.
Law Enforcement Response
The detainee, Bronz Robson, was arrested on charges of second-degree reckless endangerment, which is a misdemeanor. He was jailed with the possibility of posting a $1,000 bail. No one was injured, but the extent of the damage to the car remains unclear. Assistant Police Chief Darren Rose stated:
