BMW raised prices on the M5 for 2026
BMW has increased the price of its powerful M5 models for the 2026 model year. The sedan now costs $121,900, and the station wagon (Touring) — $123,900. This is $2,400 more than the previous year, with no additional updates or features.
Interestingly, despite the traditional dislike of station wagons by Americans, the M5 Touring is selling better in the US than the sedan. BMW notes that global demand for the new M5 remains high, so the price increase is not deterring buyers.
Other BMW price changes
As of July 1st, almost all BMW models have become more expensive by 1.9%. The prices of the X5 M Competition and X6 M Competition increased the most — by $2,500. The exceptions were the i5, i7, iX electric cars, as well as the M2 and Alpina XB7.
Although there are no official comments on the reasons for the price increase, it is likely related to the general economic situation and changes in customs policy. However, demand for premium cars remains stable, which allows manufacturers to afford such steps.
