Cadillac Introduces the Elevated Velocity Concept
At the Monterey Car Week auto show, Cadillac presented a new concept car called Elevated Velocity. This is a futuristic crossover that develops the ideas of last year’s Opulent Velocity model and demonstrates possible future design directions for the brand.
During the presentation, Cadillac representatives stated:
“If you like this concept, let us know”
, hinting that the company is considering the possibility of creating off-road vehicles and is interested in public opinion. The concept received 24-inch wheels, gull-wing doors, and original lighting design.
Interior and Technologies
The concept’s interior is made in a minimalist style using red Nappa leather and bouclé fabric. Designers intentionally avoided the usual rectangular screens, placing displays in unusual places, including on the steering wheel.
A special feature was the “rest mode” system, which is activated during autonomous driving: the pedals and steering wheel are retracted, and the interior turns into a relaxation zone with aromatherapy and red light therapy. For the active driver, a “speed mode” is provided with the deployment of the steering wheel and data projection onto the windshield.
Although the technical specifications remain theoretical, Cadillac announced an all-wheel drive system with power at the level of hypercars. Among the innovations are an increased ground clearance mode for off-road driving and a system for self-cleaning the body from dust.
The concept continues the tradition of unusual accessories from Cadillac – this time the set included a polo set in the body color, reminiscent of last year’s model with special bird sounds. Such details emphasize the brand’s creative approach to creating premium cars, where luxury is combined with future technologies.
