Since the start of the full-scale war, BRSM-Nafta has refueled the transport of the Armed Forces, Territorial Defense, and critical services for more than 28,000,000 UAH for free. Currently, the eponymous charitable fund is raising money for winter uniforms for the defenders — all network customers participate. This was stated in an interview with delo.ua by Oleksandr Melnychuk, a top manager of BRSM.

The company has been helping the army since the first days of the war. While many gas stations were closing, BRSM continued to operate so everyone evacuating their families could refuel their cars. Simultaneously, they established communication with military units — in agreement with military administrations, they began providing free fuel throughout Ukraine.

“The entire country relies on these people, so we set the goal of being a support for them. Bringing victory closer is the main task now, so we make every effort,” said Oleksandr Melnychuk.

In addition to free gasoline and diesel, BRSM transferred three DAF tractors and three tank trucks to the Armed Forces. One similar tractor and tank truck were sent to a unit of the Navy.

In October 2022, on the initiative of the trademark owner of “BRSM-Nafta,” Andriy Biba, the company launched the charitable fund “Blago BRSM.” Its specialization is winter uniforms for the defenders.

“Many soldiers began to contact us for help, asking to provide them with quality winter equipment — primarily uniforms. Given the number of kits and cost, the amount is large. Therefore, we decided to involve our clients’ army, which is more than 1.5 million people across Ukraine,” said the company’s top manager.

The fund does not collect donations but offers BRSM gas station customers to donate a portion of their fuel discount. Anyone with a BRSM loyalty card or BRSM PLUS mobile app can independently determine the percentage of the discount that will be transferred to the fund. There’s no need to add your own money.

They have already purchased 252 kits for a total of 900,000 UAH through joint efforts. The fundraising continues: nearly 3 million UAH has been raised from the required 4.5 million UAH. When the fund’s budget reached 1.5 million UAH, Andriy Biba doubled this amount.
Monitoring the fundraising progress online, as well as reviewing reports, is possible on the fund’s website.

The combined losses of BRSM due to the war amounted to about 188,000,000 UAH. Six gas stations were completely destroyed, and five more are in temporarily occupied Melitopol, Berdyansk, and Vasylivka. Six employees died defending Ukraine. Today, out of 5154 regular employees, 289 are fighting in the ranks of the Armed Forces, Territorial Defense, and other units.
