Bugatti Bolide Makes McLaren and Porsche Supercars Look Slow

Over the last twenty years, Bugatti has earned a reputation as one of the most distinguished car manufacturers, consistently creating truly impressive models. But the Bolide is something on a completely different level. This track monster, released in a limited series of 40 cars, is so futuristic that most hypercars look outdated next to it. And it’s not just about good looks—on the race track, it is faster than any previous Bugatti models.

How fast is the Bolide? Well-known YouTuber Misha Charoudin demonstrated in his video just how powerful this car is. Compared to it, cars like the Porsche 911 GT3 or GT3 RS seem slow, as if they are just out for a leisurely drive.

Charoudin was invited to the Nürburgring track, where he got the opportunity to ride several hot laps in the passenger seat of the Bolide. Many Porsche GT cars were on the track at the same time, but as it turns out, even such speedy models as the GT3 and GT3 RS stand no chance against the Bolide.

Spaceship-like Speed

During the hot laps, the Bolide demonstrates superior cornering, more efficient braking, and gains a significant advantage on corner exits, accelerating with incredible dynamics. On the relatively short straight of the Nürburgring, it easily reaches 300 km/h. At one point on the track, it overtook a McLaren so swiftly that the latter appeared to be standing still.

Although the Bolide is undoubtedly capable of setting records on many famous tracks, there are no official results from Bugatti yet. At the concept stage, the company claimed that, according to simulations, the car could complete Le Mans in 3:07.1 and the Nürburgring Nordschleife in 5:23.1, just three seconds slower than the Porsche 919 Hybrid Evo. However, the production version has less power and more weight, but should still be capable of a sub-6-minute lap.
