The hypercar with the highest mileage among all Bugattis continues to do its job on the roads. Usually, cars worth millions of dollars spend most of their time in garages, but this Chiron has set a record. This is reported by Carscoops.
Automotive photographer Alex Penfold spotted a blue Chiron with a saddle-colored interior at a supercar meet in October 2025. The car’s odometer reading of 175,797 km sparked discussions online.
Bugatti Chiron with record mileage
This Chiron is a company test vehicle for development and trials. The car underwent endurance tests, high-speed runs, and media test drives. Over ten years of operation, it has covered over 17,000 km annually.
The car is equipped with an 8-liter W16 engine with four turbines producing 1479 horsepower. Despite the enormous mileage, the Chiron looks fresh without noticeable signs of wear thanks to factory maintenance.
Bugatti Chiron maintenance costs as much as a new supercar
An annual inspection is mandatory, and in-depth maintenance is required every four years. Oil and fluid changes are performed every 14 months or 15,000 km. The process requires complex procedures due to the W16 engine design.
Bugatti CEO Mate Rimac refuted rumors about excessive Chiron maintenance costs. The former company president, Wolfgang Dürheimer, reported that the average Bugatti owner has 84 cars, three planes, and a yacht, which is why most hypercars are driven rarely.
