One of the main premieres of the current Geneva Motor Show is the hypercar Bugatti La Voiture Noire. It is the most expensive car of modern times – $18.9 million, which is one and a half times more expensive than the Rolls-Royce Sweptail! It is dedicated to the 110th anniversary of the brand.
The car was released in a single copy and is positioned as the successor to the legendary coupe Bugatti Type 57SC Atlantic. By the way, you can see features of the famous predecessor in the design – the characteristic “seam” on the roof and the horseshoe-shaped radiator grille.
From a technical point of view, the Bugatti hypercar differs little from the Chiron and Divo. It is equipped with the same 8.0-liter 1500-horsepower W16 engine with four turbines, and its maximum speed exceeds 400 km/h.
The owner of the Bugatti La Voiture Noire is already known. Former Volkswagen Group chairman and “father” of the Bugatti Veyron, Ferdinand Piech, has decided to buy the Bugatti.
