Bugatti revealed 2-year work on the hypercar Divo Lady Bug

As you know, Bugatti Divo was presented by the French company 3 years ago. The entire batch of 40 units has long been sold out, and soon clients will receive their hypercars, the cost of which starts at (!) 5 million euros! But the most exclusive and labor-intensive among them is the Divo Lady Bug.

This particular specimen was ordered by an unnamed American collector, and, as the company does not hide, this car became the most “troublesome” of all (the company even considered refusing the order, explaining the impossibility of fulfilling the customer’s wishes). Let’s recall, Bugatti Divo is made on the basis of the Chiron model and is named after the French racer Albert Divo.

As for the Lady Bug, the whole complexity of its creation lies in the unique body paint and design elements, which took a year and a half to agree upon! The meticulous customer wanted the cars to be painted in a new color, Customer Special Red, used in combination with a graphite shade, and to emphasize the car’s shapes with diamond-shaped cells. There are 1600 of them, and the placement of almost each one became a whole process of coordinating the “strategy” with the client.

It all ended with specialists using a film wrap (what could be so complicated?), and when the car was handed over to the customer, the company organized a real celebration to mark the completion of the project. Like other Divos, this Bugatti Divo is equipped with an 8-liter W16 engine with four turbochargers (1500 hp), with a maximum speed limited to 380 km/h.
