Buick Launches Innovative Automatic Control System for Urban Conditions

New Buick Autonomous System

Buick has introduced a new autonomous driving system that allows the car to navigate urban roads independently. The system promises to effectively handle various situations, such as lane changing, roundabouts, pedestrian crossings, and lane changes.

System Features

The system, developed in collaboration with Momenta, uses the R6 Flywheel Big Model, which includes training based on millions of kilometers of real data. It is equipped with cameras, lidars, and millimeter-wave radars, allowing it to recognize objects even in the absence of road markings.

Application in the Electra L7

This technology will be available in the Electra L7 model, which will also receive a non-stop parking system. The latter detects free parking spaces in real-time and automatically parks the car, making the process significantly more convenient.

Interior of the Electra L7

The official debut of the Electra L7 will take place in September. The car’s interior is executed in a minimalist style with high-tech elements. The cabin features two-tone upholstery, light wood trim, stylish speakers, and full-width air deflectors.

Technological Features

The cabin is equipped with a 10.25-inch digital instrument panel, a 15.6-inch infotainment system with a split-screen function, and a 50-inch AR display on the windshield. Additionally available are an ambient lighting system, an AI voice assistant, and a new steering wheel with intuitive buttons.

Buick has also introduced a Sentinel mode, which uses cameras and radars to monitor the car’s surroundings, enhancing driving safety. These innovations make the Electra L7 one of the most progressive cars on the market, especially in the context of autonomous technology development.
