New BYD Automotive Park in China
Chinese automaker BYD has opened a large-scale vehicle testing center in the city of Zhengzhou, offering unique opportunities for car enthusiasts. The center features the brand’s latest models, including the electric Yangwang U9.
Track Features and Testing Zones
One of the main advantages of the center is a 1.7 km long track with nine turns and a 550-meter straight section, allowing speeds of up to 220 km/h. Adjacent is a dynamic area of 15,300 m² for slalom, emergency maneuvers, and demonstration of automatic parking functions.
BYD also created a low-friction zone using 30,000 basalt slabs, which are covered with water to simulate driving on snow and ice. A separate 70-meter-long pool was built to demonstrate the YangWang U8 model’s ability to swim thanks to its advanced electrical system.

Unique Features: Sand Dunes and Off-Road
The center includes a sand dune, recognized by the Guinness Book of Records as the world’s largest for vehicle testing. It is made from 6,200 tons of sand similar to that of the Alashan Desert and serves to test the capabilities of the U8 off-roader. There is also a separate zone for off-roading and a place for camping and visitor relaxation.

Ticket Options and Services
Four types of tickets are available for visitors:
